SCAT booster transfer image     Spacecraft and Assemblies Transfer Building (SCAT)

• An environmentally controlled, roller mounted, rail traveled structure with
  two roll up doors at each end that mate to the LSS and IPF. When mated,
  the SCAT becomes an integral structure with the other joining facility.

• Dual purpose structure:
    - To transfer a rocket vehicle assembly to Launch Pad 1.
    - Or for indoor processing at the LP2 (Suborbital Launch Pad)
      located midway between the IPF & LP1.
• Provides about 3,500 square feet of floor space with a 25-ton bridge crane
  with 40-feet of hook height.
