| Safety is paramount to successful operations at the Kodiak Launch Complex—safety of personnel and mission components alike—and AADC accordingly emphasizes the importance of operational safety, both in flight and on the ground. There is safety documentation available to potential users. Contact us. The Kodiak Launch Complex Range Safety Manual (KLC RSM) identifies applicable State of Alaska and Federal laws and regulations that govern safety at KLC, and sets forth procedures for assuring the range is fully compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Range users are expected to be thoroughly familiar with the operating procedures outlined in this manual and to emphasize safety while at the KLC. The KLC Range Safety and Telemetry System (RSTS) is an integral part of the Kodiak Launch Complex (KLC), and consists of two fully redundant mobile systems which provide range flight safety and telemetry support. The prime purpose of the RSTS is to track and verify a safe flight within prescribed boundaries, or terminate the flight of an errant rocket for the protection of life and property. ^ top |
