Rocket Motor Storage Facility

Environmentally controlled Earth Covered Magazines (ECM) that provide short or long term storage for solid rocket motors and fully assembled solid rocket launch vehicles. Two ECMs are currently operational with the ability to add three more.

Features include

• Each ECM has 89 feet of internal length and can hold up to 225,000 pounds of explosives; more capacity than any existing U.S. solid fueled launch vehicle
• Rockets can be stored as an integrated vehicle or as individual motor segments
• Internal rails allow smooth movement from ground transportation into the ECM without hazardous crane lifts
• Environmental systems regulate temperature and humidity
• Digital connectivity allows customers to monitor or interface with their equipment from their home station
• ECMs 3 through 5 can be custom designed to fit the handling equipment for a specific rocket
