Alaska Aerospace Announces
Thomas R. Case to serve as President and COO
ANCHORAGE, AK – Alaska Aerospace Development Corp CEO and Board of Directors name USAF Lt. Gen. (ret.)
Thomas R. Case President and Chief Operating Officer. Case joins recently promoted CEO Dale K. Nash to form a very strong management team. Case brings over 33 years of military experience to Alaska Aerospace. He is a former Deputy Commander of Central Command and Pacific Command. Case previously commanded fighter wings in Korea and Alaska and was Commander of the Alaskan Command/11th Air Force/Alaska NORAD Region. He served in several key USAF positions in the Pentagon and most recently has been the Dean of University of Alaska Anchorage’s College of Business and Public Policy. Case is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a Master of Science degree in systems management from the University of Southern California. Case is a graduate of the National War College in Washington D.C. and of Emory University’s Advanced Management Program.

Alaska Aerospace Announces
Dale K. Nash to serve as President and CEO
ANCHORAGE, AK – Alaska Aerospace Board of Directors announces the promotion of Dale K. Nash to President and CEO. In January 2007, Mr. Nash joined Alaska Aerospace as Chief Operating Officer. Alaska Aerospace, with headquarters in Anchorage, owns and operates the Kodiak Launch Complex, a state-of-the-industry spaceport on Kodiak Island.
Mr. Nash brings over 25 years of experience in the industry to Alaska Aerospace. He began his aerospace career in 1982 at Hercules Aerospace Company – Bacchus Works in Magna, Utah working on Intercontinental and Sea Launched Ballistic Missile systems.
Mr. Nash joined the Thiokol Corporation – in Promontory, Utah in 1987. He was promoted to Director at the Strategic Missile Division working on the Trident I & II, MX, SICBM and Castor 120 programs.
In 1993 Mr. Nash was transferred to Kennedy Space Center to serve as the Vice President and General Manager for Thiokol’s Florida operations; processing and stacking Thiokol’s Solid Rocket Motors and Lockheed’s External Tank on the Space Shuttle program.
Mr. Nash transitioned from Thiokol to United Space Alliance (USA), a Lockheed/Boeing owned company, in 1996. He served in several executive positions on the NASA Space Shuttle Program (including 64 Shuttle launches) and on development of the next generation Human Space Flight vehicle “Orion”.
His positions included:
• USA Program Manager on the winning Lockheed “Orion” team
• Director Launch Operations at Kennedy Space Center
• Director Ground Support Systems at Kennedy Space Center
• Director External Tank/Solid Rocket Booster Operations
Mr. Nash has a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Florida. He and his wife Beth reside in Anchorage, Alaska. They have three grown sons. They both enjoy fishing, the outdoors, and the Alaska lifestyle. Alaska Aerospace Board of Directors looks forward to growing and diversifying the aerospace industry in Alaska with the leadership of Mr. Nash. |
