Launch Control Center (LCC) • Provides 14,000 square feet of floor space and is the nerve center of the range. • Includes the Launch Operations Control Center, the Tech Control Center, the Weather Forecast Office, and office space for customers and KLC administrators • Launch operations are managed from the LOCC, which has sufficient consoles to accommodate both customer personnel and AADC launch operations staff.

- Two communication backbone systems, fiber optic and copper, connect KLC facilities. - The fiber optic system consists of 84 single mode fibers with 18 used for various facility systems such as internet, timing an count down and HVDS. - The copper back bone consists of 200 pairs ranging from 19 AWG to 24 AWG. A SONET ring provides fiber connectivity to the rest of the world. It provides the equivalent of 56 T-1s. Secured classified communications can be provided through government certified classified systems and procedures. whom serves as the Launch Weather officer.
